I am trying to play mp4 (x264) on the Humax over DLNA with no success. The files are visible but the file format is not playble when serving via minidlna or MediaTomb but are playable when files are on USB drive attached to the Humax.

Other files such as AVI and MP3 are playing with no issues over DLNA. Any ideas?

hmm. I'm playing MP4 with no issues over the LAN using wifi. However I'm using tversity as the dlna server - not the native windows dlna server which is a pile. Try Tversity as I suspect it could be the answer
No MKV support though

wrong. Hit the same issue last night. mp4 will only play locally. I'm sure it used to stream

just so this gets attention- I've corrected my last post

Are you referring to x264 MP4s?  Or h264 or avc MP4s?

If the humax does not like MKVs it probably won't like x264 MP4s either.
cheers
