toppie trf-2400 settings question

Hi forum,

in the settings for this machine under 'recording', i've worked out the time shifting one and the time padding at each side of a programme but can someone tell me what the times in the "Timer Record Duration" refers to?  What times does this affect?  I can't seem to see an explanation of it in the manual, only the info that you can adjust it.  Would be nice to know what I was adjusting :-)

Philip, you asked the same question in the Topfield forum (a slightly more detailed response there). The answer is that if you open up the reservations list on the Toppy you can create a manual timer by pressing the red function button; you specify the default time for such timers using the option you mention.
