Hi

A very small number of users have experienced this issue with the Windows 7 task scheduler yet we cannot reproduce it on any of our test systems. The application is waiting for the Windows 7 task scheduler to report that it successfully performed a reindex after the guide was imported. If the reindex task is not run then changes to the schedule are not properly reflected in Media Center and this would mean that some of the recording tasks might not match the start time in the schedule.

We are testing a work around in this BETA version:

We would appreciate any ideas/feedback on this issue.

Thanks Luke.
Worked a treat, i worked out what i think it is if i remove windows search from windows 7 and re add it.
it will work for about a week then it starts to fail again.

But hopefully this will fix it. :)

Did this fix your problem? I have the same issue so will try the beta version.

I have just had the "Reindexer task status: Could not start..." error (multiple instances) in the IceTV Interactive Win7 version log with a fresh install on Win 7 Professional SP1, all patched and up-to-date.

The BETA version of the software has fixed it, at least for now.
