I have been using the original batch based service for some time and updated yesterday to the new interactive version.

It installs but then fills the log with the following every 10 seconds.

Have tried uninstalling and re instlling but no change.

Going back to the batch service for now.  Works fine on the test box which did not have the old batch system installed.

Windows 7 32 bit

Tried rescanning all channels and then  doing a fresh install of ICETV (.4, .5 & .6) no change.

Edited registry and removed all ICETV entries btween all attempts.

Any suggestions?

Same problem here -- not sure exactly when it started, but a complete de-installation and removal of all registry entries has not fixed it...

Keen for a solution -- will call tech support on Monday if I can't find something before then.

I spoke to the (helpful as usual) tech support staff on Saturday.

Seems that this situation is caused by a MC error that is not 'well handled' by the Ice app. There is (apparently) a new version of the W7 MCE Ice app due in the next day or so that is supposed to address the issue.

An update:

My MC seemed to be quite unreliable overall. It started life as a Vista MC and I upgraded to Win 7. In an effort to fix, I re-installed Win 7 from scratch and reloaded the ICE app. Now I no longer have this 'media center scheduler not yet available' problem. Mind you, I have lost pre-padding...

By the way, I have a theory about why MC was crashing every two to three days. I SUSPECT that my Panasonic plasma screen was overwhelming the system with spurious IR "commands" and that after a while MC just 'threw in the towel' and collapsed. I've now relocated the IR receiver to a 'shaded' position and am hopeful for better reliability.

I presume you chose the "TV-PC" in the device list (in the main interactive application tab) and chose "reload"?

Beyonwiz DP-S1 & Topfield 5K (using PerlTGD to upload ICE EPG/timers for the 5K, normal ICE interactive for the Wiz).

initially I selected "Guide Only" then selected "tv-pc" after i had issues and a reboot

Hi

More Media Center surprises ;)

Would you mind submitting a support case and attaching your log file ( C:\ProgramData\IceTv\Interactive\3.0\ice.log ) for us to investigate?

Cheers,
Luke

OK had the irits with the whole thing so I did the following:

Uninstalled ICETV and removed all directorys and registry entries

Backed up the MC recordings files

Reset MC with the MCUPDATE command

Rebooted the system

Followed the ICETV installation guide page by page with no errors installed 3.08 after setting up MC

Once up and running with channels and guide copied the recordings back

Downloaded the EPG again and all my recordings magically appeared

ICETV log had the yellow warning message after the second EPG download

Logs attached

Everytjhing now appears to be working

Michael

We'll be releasing 3.0.0.9 in the next couple of days which will contain a fix with these small exceptions during the EPG download.

Have completed further checking and no further errors have been reported in the log on TV-PC.

Interactive is syncing with the ICETV web site and I can see all scheduled shows for both my W7 systems online.

Only Issue I have now is that one system (MJD-PC) does not load ICETV on boot.

Will wait for 3.09 and see if it fixes the issue.

Appreciate your interest Luke.

Michael
