No sound on channel 7 through media centre

Hi,

I have had my vista media centre with ice tv for about a year now.  A couple of weeks ago the sound on channel seven disappeared. I have picture but no sound. 

When I watch channel 7 through winfast  PVR2 I have perfct sound. Can anyone help with this problem.

Its drive me nuts.

Assuming you are using SPDIF/Digital or HDMI Audio on Vista:

Close VMC:

First thing to check is your audio settings - i assume you are using vista? if so right mouse click on the speaker system tray icon and select playback devices. in the window that appears make sure your SPDIF/Digital out is selected as the default device, right click on it and select properties, scan through the tabs at the top of the window looking for one relating to supported formats. make sure both DTS & DD are checked and then ensure that only the 44.1khz & 48khz bitrates are selected.

If this doesn't help are you using AC3Decoder at all?

if not, and you are using a digital audio connection, I suggest you install it and make sure it is set to pass AC3 & DTS to your SPDIF audio out and that any drop down boxes for speaker selection are set to "as is".
