Last year I was one of the unlucky few that did not get the email on how to reset your Toppy for the end of daylight saving.  This year I didn't receive one either and I cannot find info on the IceTV site.
Did anyone receive instructions?

I received an email from IceTV on 5th April. I've got both a Humax and Topfield 2460. No action required on the Humax but some fiddling required for the Topfield. Here is a link to the instructions: http://support.icetv.com.au/entries/21199873

I did get the email about Daylight Saving ending, but the instructions didn't work. My Toppy 2400 doesn't tell me what sifteware it is running. Plus, the update server address in your instructions, diesn't work. I spent 30 mins this afternoon trying to get onto the Topfield website, & couldn't do it. It was coming up with error messages. Some of the messages were that I wasn't connected to the net, but I was able to get into other websites, so I don't believe that message.

I had followed the Daylight Saving instructions assuming I had the latest software in. He early hours of this morning. When I checked the reservations at about 12:30pm, there was still nothing there. After spending more than half an hour trying to download the software onto a usb to manually update the software (just in case it wasn't up-to-date), I ended up having to do a straight out factory reset to get it to load the reservations (which it did within 2 mins of finishing the reset). Mind you, I noticed in Time, it shows the correct time but it says On for Daylight Saving. I'm not going to change it, why mess with what's working, right?

The Topfield website http://itopfield.com.au/ appears to have been more often down than up in the last couple of weeks.

As developers try to make browser error messages more "user friendly", they also sometimes appear to make them contain less and less actually useful information for finding out what the problem actually is.

The Toppro (Topfield Australia) www site has been down almost continuously for about 10 days. It is really annoying. I'm not sure what the problem is; I do know that spammers have been active on the forum for some time [as it is a moderated forum they do not get through].

You can find out which firmware your 2400 is running by pressing Menu, Information and clicking again which gives the firmware version (application version) and the date it was compiled.

For recent firmware Toppys pick up the daylight saving offset from the transmission signal (it is zero during non daylight saving and 1 hour during daylight saving). Selecting daylight saving merely tells the Toppy to look for the offset; in older software it applied the daylight saving offset.

All four of my Toppys this morning showed the correct time without touching the daylight saving setting. I did a service reset, and scanned services, resent all timers, and activated IceTV for each Toppy. The Timers for the 2 7100+ downloaded almost immediately but it took some time for the 2 2400 to download the timers.
