OK, LoungeRoom is logging in and has set the single recording it had for this evening, the one called V2 isn't logging at all and hasn't since 16:57 when I guess you changed the name. I have, via the IceTV website My Recorders section of your account, copied all the V2 recordings to LoungeRoom which will all set on its next login.

Regarding Beyonwiz auto timers, we advise that hey are never used if you use IceTV as they are not synchronised to your IceTV account so timer collisions can occur when all the recordings are not visible at the IceTV UI.

Once you are certain LoungeRoom is OK delete the other V2 from your My Recorders section of your account (assuming you don't have two).

Hi Colin,

Can you simply go to the V2's IceTV plug in and using choice 1 get it to update EPG and timers. This forces an update and saves me waiting 15 minutes. Then I'll know which PVR is which and can copy the recordings to the right one. At the moment lounge room is logging in.

IceTV EPG Content / Re: Seven and Nine news
January 23, 2021, 05:41:03 PM
My apologies if IceTV appears to have "gone off the rails" over the last week. We are completing a total revamp of our legacy EPG ingestion, checking, curation, and aggregation software systems which, predictably, has thrown up a myriad of bugs even though we did thorough pre-release testing. It's been "all hands to the pumps" seven days a week and late into the evening for the last two weeks. Australia's lack of formal regulations regarding EPG data conformance to any standards, or lack of enforcement where there are any, with many sub-regions and our three time zones makes it an onerous task!  Nevertheless, if we hadn't completed the update that replaced a legacy system nearly 16 years old that was built for just 5 channels in those days then, in the end, there would have been no IceTV at all as the cost of its inefficiencies were becoming unsupportable.

Please bear with us for a few more days as we debug the new system.

Your Beyonwiz should simply correct to one airing once we have worked out what is causing the issue but in the meantime simply deleting one would be the best way forward.  It can be quickly done on the website or app "My Week" by removing the extra episode each day but leaving the series.

I believe, at the 11th hour (!) that Planet America is sorted.
#351
I'm sure they kn\ow and are working on the database details that cause it.
#352
Give them until 5pm:)

We've just done a complete update of our databases and are working through the inevitable bugs that showed up when we went live last Friday, even after much testing. Please be patient and give them until the end of tomorrow when the errors should be corrected and won't effect recordings. It has been a torrid five days of non-stop work!!
#354
We are working on it and it will be sorted as soon as possible.
#355
Hi Everyone,

Plex / Re: Action Required: DVR Guide Change
January 15, 2021, 08:22:15 AM
Hi Peter,

I suspect that was a generic email sent to Plex users worldwide where all except Australia (as best I know) used the TiVo guide aggregation services that I infer has has had problems. TiVo did not have an Australian EPG feed so this new Gracenote one removes the problem of paying Plex for the DVR services and having no "free" EPG so having to either scrape an unreliable one or pay a third party, IceTV, for a decent feed.  It would be "interesting" for you to keep an eye on the Plex forums wrt the "free" Australian Gracenote feed to see how many accuracy issues it has.

You can leave things as they are and simply keep using our IceTV feed.

IceTV would say that our EPG data is better than Gracenote for DVR usage as we do our very best to update late changes and so forth to maximise the accuracy of recordings. As best I know Gracenote, who supply EPG metadata worldwide, only update the EPG once early in the day when the next new seventh day is updated, probably because other countries don't suffer the games our commercial networks play shuffling shows around all the time (and constantly starting late which is impossible to predict). The one area we can't compete on are the provision of graphics for every show due to copyright restrictions but we'd argue reliable recording is more important than pretty pictures.  Of course we have to employ our own staff to aggregate, clean up and curate every region in Australia so we have to charge for our feed, but a cost of less than one coffee a month seems a small price to pay for accurate recordings.

Please note we ask that users also do a guide update at about 5:30pm to pick up late changes.

Plus, of course, we give online support in a timely fashion:)

Hi Andrew,

Your recording preferences are as our default which are 1st runs only.  When you first set the show we still had it as first run as did other guides but our later checking showed it had previously aired so it was changed to a repeat (of the 105 minutes which I believe is actually three eps) and your 1st run default caused it to be cancelled on your PVR.

Hi Andrew,

We did update the show but it was after you had set the TBA so our system cancelled the TBA as it was now a wrong recording but you didn't have the show set at as your own recording on your own IceTV account to replace it.  I'd advise it is very unlikely a TBA will be missed in prime time so leave it as it is and let us update it by about 5:30pm and, if you know what the show is, set it at IceTV.

Thanks for the feature update suggestion which we'll consider as time allows.
