I've ended up replacing the Skippa with a FetchTV box. The Skppa is still working. I still have the box and remote.

I should add that I'm in Sydney.

Can you suggest where I could get a similar power supply? My guess was that the heat was probably responsible for the freezing I've been seeing.

How often should it be contacting the servers? What are the implications for it not doing so?

I  had my Skippa fail to record anything tonight (about four shows) until I rebooted it. Then it started recording Heroes Reborn.

So, it seems like it can get into a bad state where it won't record. I might, as a test, reboot it each night before it's supposed to start recording.

I agree completely. It's always nice to details about what has changed.

So, I don't know if this is a bug, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

When I first hooked up my Skippa and a few times since, channels 7 & 2 have had an ok signal strength but a quality in the order of 17%. The picture continually broke up. One time, this affected 2, 7, and 10.

I'm keeping an eye on it to try to get some idea of the frequency.

Is it likely that a bug could be causing this?

I did receive this email, after I pulled the power and rebooted the Skippa (is there's a menu way to reboot?). However, no real suggestion as to why it failed.

I have 1.1.10579. It says it's the latest.

I've added a bunch of series to my Skippa, but it is not starting recording them. In the My Week, it was showing Doctor Who as a show that it was going to record, but it did not record it. In fact, it is still listed in My Week, even after the show has come and gone. Any ideas?
