and my genre music favorite is also showing first run only.

OK my apologies everyone. All my series recording are indeed first run only. So if a show is repeated say two years later and I do a series record first run only none of the episodes will record. I always thought it was more to do when a station plays an encore episode of the recently aired episode which happens quite often these days. However I do find it strange that I can't click on that episode and update to first runs and repeat (in the android app anyway).

So I went to "my series" on the website and empire (for example) is set for first run only. then I scrolled through my week on android and came across empire on 12th December, three red circles indicating it is part of a series recording (It is a repeat) and it is showing as first run and repeat

Dave in the first post I just mentioned as an aside that I could not delete the timer. The two screenshots are related. The second shot shows icetv telling me why it is not recording that episode I then click on that screen (three grey circles) to go into my previously selected option and it shows it is already set for first run and repeats. In other words the second screen is incorrectly stating what option I have previously already set in the first screen. If this is not the case and it is being helpful and showing which option should be checked then If I "apply" nothing happens same result. My default settings are first run and repeat on all my series recordings. Anyway I will send you a PM.

Thanks for the answer. Can the padding be adjusted on a per recording basis. I suspect not.

Yes the latter. Series set for first run & repeat and isn't being recorded because it says that the recording (series) is set for first run only

Do the failed timer notifications happen straight after timer enacted or only when the associated tv programs are starting.

Thanks

Info wanted re timer behaviour back to back recording same channel

First of all does icetv handle this or the beyonwiz T2. Are there default setting behaviours or are there preference settings somewhere? A bit off topic but is the T2 capable of recording more than 1 program at a time on different associated network channels on the one tuner like abc 1 & abc 2 etc.

Thankyou

Every now and then when looking through the guide I notice the 3 grey circles on a show I have series recorded. At first I didn't think much of it thinking it was a 2nd repeat of the same show or something. However on closer look that is not correct. It says repeat episode but recording options are for first run only. I go in and find it IS set for repeat and first run. There is also no option to delete timer. The only way to record this episode is to change it to single recording thus losing my series recording. This particular show was brooklyn nine nine. I noticed the pilot episode so I wacked on a season pass and the above happened on the second episode

Cheers

I agree; there are a lot of services provided beyond the provision of the EPG that for me is worth $8/m.

That may be the case if you were just paying a $7.99/month fee, but IceTV gladly took $149 from me last year and $125 from me in late August this year, so it is hard to see how that then becomes worth it.

As a minimum, the most recent payment should be returned as there is no way that management would not have known there was a problem then. These things do not happen so suddenly.

What would be your reaction if you had to pay close to $25/month or more? Would it be worthwhile then? In my case given I have something approaching $250 going to dust in the space of a few weeks makes it not so good at all!

I have sympathy for you but that previous money is a sunk cost. Whether you use ice tv from here on or not that money is still sunk. You can struggle with EPG programming or pay $7.99 and make your life easier.

I got a T2 when they were recently offering $100.00 off. It has 3 tuners (with the USB). I love it and am very happy. It does everything on your want list so I'm sure you'll be happy with a T3 or T4.

SKIPPA / Re: skippa & paypal claims

Wow yes I have also been refunded by paypal. I have bought a beyonwiz T2 3 tuner and I am very happy with it. The killer feature for me is the ability to stream live tv (can be any channel not only what is playing on main unit) and recorded shows to my laptop, ipad or smart phone. I'm putting ice tv on it. My TiVo is also still going strong.

Great news indeed. I've never been a subscriber (I have an undelivered Skippa) but I love the way it goes down the page showing time slots and all programs on at that time. Recently got a Beyonwiz T2 and I love it. I will definitely be signing up. Will the smart phone apps be resurrected? The links are currently dead (if not the website is great).
