I would like to know if a new firmware to allow skipping ads indefinitely will be released. Hopefully it will also allow us to chose between free to air epg and IceTV epg.
Dave informed me that a firmware to allow free to air epg would be released but that was before the reinvention of IceTV. Hope it will still happen.
Does anyone have any info on this?

Mine has done this also. I haven't yet decided on whether I will get a new subscription to IceTV but would like to know if this is going to be fixed.

I never received this email and only found out from a friend at my work that new I had bought a SKIPPA and sent me the link to the news article. Not impressed. But feeling sorry for the employees

I have a similar problem. I got my SKIPPA on Monday and updated to the latest firmware. Set 4 series recordings. Monday night "The Block" recorded fine. Then last night, Tuesday night, it was supposed to record "The Block" again and also "800 Words". Neither recorded and I looked in my week and it showed them to be recorded yesterday. No failed recordings.
I did a reboot and checked again and "800 Words" had disappeared from my series recordings. Checked my phone app and it was still showing on my app as 1 of my series's. Checked for firmware and it is on the latest. I have tried to push "800 Words" to it again but I am now at work so not sure if that did anything.

So I just received an email saying.
"Mass production of SKIPPA® remains on schedule. We have started to fulfill the earliest pre-orders. About half of the pre-ordered SKIPPA® volume arrives in Sydney by air freight over the weekend, with the remainder not far behind. We have increased staff in our Sydney warehouse to speed up customer shipments from Monday on a "first-ordered, first-shipped" basis."
My invoice number is 201060 so I'm not sure where that will put me but hopefully I will be one of the lucky ones that will receive my SKIPPA soon

So we are now in April. I thought we were getting a announcement in March. Just wondering what is happening with the release. Can we get some news on what is happening please?

This looks like a great replacement for my recently dead TiVo.
Can I get on the mailing list without purchasing anything or do I have to buy a subscription to the service first?
