In Melbourne on Saturday 28th at 2:35pm on Eleven should be marked as a Repeat

Same thing happened this afternoon. Seven glorious hours of MasterChef repeats trying to fill up my PVR. :)

It's too late to fix it this week but please watch and see if the pattern repeats next week.

Beyonwiz / Re: Different 7Flix problem

csutak40, you're not seeing things.  I had "New Channel" happen on my T3 for a scheduled recording of The Amazing Race on 7flix last week.  I was too chicken to let it stay that way - I record that show for another family member - so I manually edited the timer to use the 7flix channel, destroying any chance of doing forensics on the cause of the anomaly.  It recorded OK.

If it happens again for this week's episode of The Amazing Race I'll post back.

Region: Melbourne
Date: 2 March 2016 (tonight)

The Good Wife is going to start on Ten (SD, LCN 10) at 21.45, but it is going to start on Ten HD (LCN 13) at 21.30. This seems improbable.  Isn't Ten HD a simulcast?

Because they start at different times my Beyonwiz T3 is going to record them both and disregard the Prefer HD flag, which I have turned on.

Beyonwiz / Re: 7flix guide data empty, timers failing

For the record, I added the new channels to my EyeTV instance without any issue, in case that rules in or out any possibilities.

IceTV has provided beautifully detailed steps on adding the new channel 7flix to my T3, but I'm not getting any joy after following them.

What I've done: On the IceTV TV Guide Settings webpage, checked that 7flix is enabled and sent to the TV recorder as LCN "All". On the T3, scanned the frequency for channel 6 and saw 7flix appear as a new service (on channel 76 as it should be).  I can see it playing a loop advertising that it's starting tomorrow.  Rebooted the T3.  Then disabled the IceTV plugin, then re-enabled the IceTV plugin, then asked the IceTV plugin to Fetch EPG and update timers now.

What I expect to see: Guide data on the T3 for 7flix.

What I am seeing: A completely empty row in the on-screen guide for 7flix all week.

I also have a timer for The Amazing Race that I can see on the IceTV website but it has the yellow triangle icon and I am getting emails telling me that the timer is failing, reason "No matching service".  This makes sense: if the T3 can't get guide data it isn't going to get timers for the channel.

I have double checked that the T3 lists the service number as 76.

My location: Melbourne.
T3 Firmware: 2015-12-23 01:58
IceTV plugin: 20150925

Edit: Thanks Daniel, whatever you did fixed it for me (Also for TEN HD).

The reboot of animated series Danger Mouse starts on ABC3 on Monday Feb 29 2016 and seems to be on the same time each weekday.

The first two episodes on Monday Feb 29 and Tuesday Mar 1 are marked as repeats.  I don't believe they are.

(It's also not among the Coming Soon list on IceTV.)

Edit for posterity: this was fixed later on the day I reported it.

Did you try resetting your devise or sending the recordings manually or anything?

I haven't touched the actual PVR.  The only interaction I've had with my account is to press "re-send recordings" from the web interface, some time after last night's "all's well" email, following the troubleshooting page they included in the email.  No manual scheduling of individual shows of any kind.

I've given IceTV a list of shows I expect to record tonight and I'm leaving them to do forensic analysis on why their fix hasn't worked for me.  The less interference from me the better.

Edit 4:47 pm: Red doughnuts have appeared.  No word from support on what they did, so I can't speak for whether this was a general fix or specific to me.

Check again if you still have missing recording.

Still nothing but wall-to-wall grey doughnuts from now till Sunday.

The @icetv Twitter account has acknowledged my tweet so I know they know that the problem still plagues some of us.

Still no recordings scheduled for me either.  Beyonwiz T3 with October 2014 firmware, one of two recorders registered to IceTV.  (The other recorder is turned off, soft-decommissioned.)  Melbourne region, five things expected to record tonight, but no red doughnuts on My Week for the rest of the week.

I raised a support request early this morning and alerted their Twitter account.  If they don't know by now that their fix isn't a fix, there's no hope for any of us.

General Discussions / Daylight Saving for Doctor Who fans
September 28, 2014, 09:32:44 PM
Of particular interest to users of Beyonwiz DP-P2 and similar boxes that don't handle automatic daylight saving changeovers...

If you're recording ABC's first screening of Doctor Who on Sunday 5 October 2014, it is going to record about two hours after the daylight saving switchover, a time when you are likely to be asleep.  If you need to Do Something to your PVR after daylight saving changes, you're going to miss this one.

It might be wise to check your recording of Doctor Who on Sunday, in case you need to record the rebroadcast on Sunday night.

Or there's always iView.

XMLTV (General) / Re: TVheadend tv_grab_au_ice

My understanding is that the configuration file goes into a place relative to your home directory.  Are you sure that tvheadend and your command-line-testing agree on what your home directory is?  Perhaps they are different Unix users.

I'm happily running the IceTV grabber from tvheadend on my OpenELEC installation, so there's no problem on the IceTV servers that I'm aware of.

Not that that's anything compared to the mess Grimm makes of German pronunciation

I winced at "Jaegerbär".  No one told them it's actually the same vowel twice...

(Edit: spelling.  Oh, the irony.)

Awesome.  (5.14. is episode 15 of season 6.  Like all good computer scientists they count from zero.)
