Anybody want a skippa?
Wasn't having any issues with it when I stopped using it, currently just sitting here doing nothing.

Has anyone tried using an external drive with their skippa yet?

We haven't had a chance to watch much recently and have filled the drive, I connected one of our seagate external drives to copy some stuff off but despite it spinning up it wasn't detected :(

Tried another small usb and it was detected fine.. Not sure if the 3tb external was too big or what was going on..

Bit annoying, tried to copy some files over the network but being wireless it was pretty slow.

So I suspect this is more of a epg issue than a skippa issue..

But I just went to play back one of my mythbusters recordings 7pm 1/10/2015 and instead I have half an hour of What went Down..

I would have said mythbusters was usually on at 6.30 but not sure now.. Either way the recording says mythbusters but it certainly isn't  :-\

Edit: I have just noticed I seem to have two identical copies of the incorrect recording :(

So thanks to Warkus I got something to stream off the Skippa using Kodi (xbmc) however it is a bit overkill for what I am trying to do..

I was hoping that I would be able to use VLC because I have it installed on almost everything (and because it plays almost everything) but sadly I can't get it to appear in the UPNP part of the library :(

I had a look at the properties in windows of the Skippa and noticed it had a url:
http://<skippaiphere>:54321/mnt/usb1/DLNA/html/index.html

But sadly this loads a blank page, so maybe that is why VLC can't find anything..?

Anybody had any success with VLC or something similar?

Apologies if this bug has already been raised (it is probably related to one already raised) but thought I should log it anyway..

Whenever we try to schedule a series recording it raises a dialog saying scheduling series recording

Please wait while the series recording '<show title>' is scheduled with the iceTV server. This may take a few minutes.

It certainly does 10 minutes later and it hasn't gone away and I generally restart the skippa at that point because you can't do anything while it is up :(
You can put into standby to make it go away but it comes back the next time you try to do something in the menus (eg restart the skippa)

Pretty sure it generally doesn't actually ever reach the server because it doesn't add it to my series on the website either.

I have had the guide lock up a couple of times now.
TV keeps playing but can't move around the guide or exit.. Can put the skippa in standby but the next time you go in the guide it locks up again.. Restarting it fixes it each time.

Haven't found a common trigger yet but thought it was worth raising anyway.

Not familiar with simple machines forums but on other forums I use, there is a button / link you can click which will take you to the latest post you haven't read in a particular thread.. I can't seem to find that button on this forum..

There is a last post button but that takes you to the end and skips over stuff you may not have read..
I find it really useful because posts may have moved on to a new page since you last read and the link takes you to the last post in the previous page you hadn't read allowing you to follow the conversation easier..

If the button does exist can someone point me in the right direction.. And if it doesn't any possibility of getting it added?
