BYOB / Tuner question
May 10, 2023, 11:49:56 AM
Hi, I have successfully installed the software and it all seems to be working. I am using an old USB tuner I got from my Beyonwiz. (Picture below). Some channels pixelated very badly using this tuner but not when I plug the exact same antenna lead directly into the TV. I assume there is a problem of some sort with the USB tuner? I just occurred to me, that I don't know if I plug the USB tuner into a port that provides power. is that likely to be the problem? Thanks, Paul.

Edit. I'm a clown, the USB was powered using the lead clearly shown in the picture. I need to find a power source for it - open to suggestions! :-)

Hi, I had a bit of a look around, but I couldn't find what I was looking for. I know that you can narrow down search terms in the pattern section of keyword recordings, but is there a list somewhere of what you can use to do this?

Hope this makes sense,

Thanks, Paul.

Hi, I'm trying to record the repeat of the project but also pick up the first run - any advice appreciated on how I can get it to only record the repeat. I set up a favourite as below.

Thanks, Paul.

IceTV EPG Content / News on 3
March 10, 2016, 01:21:28 PM
Hi, we record 'News on 3' on ABC 3 for the kids. The 5:40 edition is a shorter, edited version of the 6:50 version. Is there any way of differentiating between the two? We'd like to record the longer 6:50 version.

Thanks, Paul.

I know this has been talked about before, but any chance of this being implemented any time soon? Would be great for IceTV to combine consecutive timers rather than doing it manually like a do now. I know TEDs and Smart EPG can do that, but want a one stop solution that comes from the IceTV website.

Thanks, Paul.

Wonder for practical purposes, what the difference is?

According to the ABC online guide:

Story Club, Wednesday, 21 Jan
Series 1 | Episode 3
10:01 PM - 10:29 PM [28 mins]
Ben Jenkins meets a policeman with delusions of grandeur and a nerf gun, and Patrick Magee relives the time he was Batman with an eating disorder.

Bit disappointed that a number of emails to sales seem to have been ignored. I'm fairly certain that the responses are not in the junk email folder. The most recent ticket is  #25875. Clicking on the email link gets the following result:

Request not found

You do not have access to request #25875. It may have been solved or deleted.

If your response is get lost, we told you one price but you paid another price, at least tell me that.

Hate to be a whinger when I've always found IceTV so supportive, but getting frustrated at being ignored.

Thanks, Paul.
