SKIPPA / Can you use FTA EPG?
September 26, 2015, 04:45:20 AM
Is it possible to enable the free to air EPG as sent by the broadcasters and use the Skippa just for the ad detection?

Also, what happens if you buy a Skippa once the "offers" have expired and later decide not to pay further subscription fees? Does it mean that it will become a PVR without ad skipping and without an EPG?

Beyonwiz / Bug in timer scheduling
May 15, 2008, 10:36:14 PM
It looks like there may be a bug in the IceTV scheduling.

I setup a whole bunch of events yesterday to record today. This included Ideal and The IT Crowd as a series recordings on ABC2 as well as a number of Beyonwiz generated timers that span multiple shows.

What I ended up with today was a once of recording on ABC1 instead of ABC2, thus my desired shows have not been recorded.

I must say that the new IceTV web site user interface is as good as useless when it comes to seeing the details of what is going on.  :'( The original web interfaces I wrote for IceTV two years ago displayed a lot more information that was easier to comprehend and used much simpler (and thus faster) web pages. The current web pages make it impossible to comprehend how timers that span multiple events relate to the EPG and I see no way of getting the details of an event.

Has anything changed on the PIMP server in the last couple of weeks? The Beyonwiz DP-S1 used to work a couple of weeks ago, but now it refuses to work, even though none of the settings have changed.

New IP address? New name? Changes to the protocol?

IceTV EPG Content / Steve Irwin specials

I notice there don't seem to be any late scheduling changes to show the Steve Irwin specials coming up.

XMLTV (General) / expat parser
January 31, 2005, 11:29:38 PM
Is anyone working on an expat based parser for the guide data and willing to share source? I'd rather not re-invent the wheel if I don't have to  :)

I'm happy to collaborate, so it does not have to be a complete implementation.

I'm mainly looking for something with small memory footprint, which precludes DOM.
