Channel Nine Melbourne are advertising new Big Bang Theory episode(s) starting Thursday evening on 9Go (probably only one new plus a repeat, but who knows...).

The IceTV guide still shows both episodes that evening as older repeats.

I have a series recording in place for Quantico.

It has successfully recorded every episode in the series up until tonight.

I happened to notice (but unfortunately only after the episode was half-way through) that my PVR wasn't recording it tonight.

Looking at "my week", the website shows three grey circles against the EPG entry. Why?  It's not a repeat, so why wasn't it scheduled for recording?

I'm seeing a number of movies appearing in the EPG missing the standard "Movie:" prefix in their title.

The prefix is visible in the guide on the website, but is not visible in the IceTV EPG on the Beyonwiz T3.

It is not affecting all movies at the moment (maybe only affecting movies updated after a particular point in time?).

Two examples for tonight (here in Melbourne) include:

  • Con Air - 7mate - 20:30
  • Thunderbolt - SBS TWO - 20:30

I've double-checked the "Remove "MOVIE:" prefix from movie titles in the Windows 7 guide" setting in my account settings and it remains unselected, as it has always been (though, going by the description, it shouldn't affect the T3 anyway, even if it was enabled).

Beyonwiz / BIG and GROWING gaps in EPG content
June 03, 2015, 07:56:15 PM
Since the switchover to the new backend servers (and all the attendant trouble with series timers) I've noticed large gaps in the EPG content.

Over the last few days I've noticed these gaps in coverage getting both more frequent and larger.

For example, the attached images show the EPG for a subset of Melbourne channels

  • EPG1.jpg is tonight's EPG - this looks pretty good
  • EPG2.jpg shows tomorrow nights EPG - this looks pretty horrendous
I used to be able to rely upon IceTV having a reasonably reliable EPG out to six or seven days in advance. Now I can't even see what's on tomorrow night.  >:(

Black Ops on ONE at 20:30 today (26/05/2015) in Melbourne is incorrectly marked as a repeat.

Melbourne, 18/2/2015 22:25 - Rectify - "The Great Destroyer" (Series 2, Episode 14)

Curiously, immediately beforehand is showing Series 2, Episode 13 "Weird as you" which is correctly marked as new (not a repeat).

Another bug currently evident with the IceTV integration on the Beyonwiz T3 is that updates to EPG entries are often resulting in additional entries in the EPG rather than updating the existing entry.

The attached screenshot of this evening's guide for ELEVEN shows several examples, e.g.

  • The same episode of Futurama is shown for both 20:00 and 20:05
  • The same episode of The Late Late Show... is shown for both 23:35 and 20:40
  • The same episode of Everybody Loves Raymond is shown for both 00:30 and 00:35
  • The same episode of The King of Queens is shown for both 01:00 and 01:05

Starting to see a pattern there....?

After observing this issue last week I disabled the IceTV plugin then re-enabled it and re-downloaded the EPG - the refreshed data was nice and clean but has steadily been polluted since with results as illustrated above.

Beyonwiz / T3 - incorrect EPG data in Melbourne
September 27, 2014, 03:35:08 PM
There appears to be a significant mismatch between the EPG data being sent to my T3 and the IceTV website itself.

E.g. the attached screenshots from my T3 show:

Channel 7, 19:00-21:00 - Brave
   - the IceTV website and Channel 7's website both show this starting at 19:30. IceTV has even set the timer on my T3 for 19:30.

Channel 7mate, 19:30 - 21:30 - Megastructures followed by Ultimate Factories
   - the IceTV website and Channel 7's website both show that it will be "The Italian Job" showing at this time.

The IceTV plugin log on the T3 shows EPG downloads occurring regularly. If I try to "Fetch EPG and update timers now" the log tells me there are "No EPG updates".

So - what gives???  >:(

P.S. My DP-P2 on the same account has the CORRECT data in its EPG.

Have IceTV tested and/or updated their app for the looming iOS 8?

I've sent an e-mail about this previously but I've not had a response.

The app is not working on my iPad under iOS 8 - it can download the EPG data, etc. but attempting to create or change a timer results in an alert - "You need an active internet connection to perform this action.".

Beyonwiz / Beyonwiz T3 - padding for timers
September 17, 2014, 08:19:21 PM
Getting IceTV working on the Beyonwiz T3 is a good first step, but the current iteration doesn't support padding of timers to compensate for the vagaries of our broadcasters.

This lack of padding is quite painful at the moment with many show recordings missing their beginnings or endings.

I'm given to understand that this will require IceTV implementing some new functionality at the IceTV server end - when can we expect to see this?

As per the subject line, Channel 7 Melbourne are advertising "Great Planes of the World" for the 6:30pm timeslot on Saturday rather than what Ice is currently showing. (This is on 7, not 7TWO or 7mate).

Your synopsis for the movie "Born Free" incorrectly describes Elsa as a tiger cub. Elsa was a lion, not a tiger.

IceTV EPG Content / Witches of Eastwick - 1987, not 1967
November 24, 2009, 04:44:58 PM
Noticed that you have the wrong year for "Witches of Eastwick" - it was released in 1987, not 1967.

There is a placeholder entry for GO! in the TV guide now with a duration of 1440 minutes (24 hours). This seems to be causing the "Now" view of the TV guide to always start at a bit before midnight, presumably because the web server now thinks this GO! entry is currently on air (its on "now").

Could you please fix this - I'm guessing hourly entries for GO! is the easiest way...

I notice that the Ice Guide is showing Burn Notice starting at 10:00pm on Channel Ten in Melbourne, whereas their advertisements are saying 9:30pm.

When I try to set a timer for Absolute Zero, Part 2 on SBS HD (Melbourne) at 8:30 this evening (8 June) I get the following error:

Error finding show with id: 56618793

Currently, if I select "All channels" for a series recording, it will literally record all instances of a show on every channel, even when the show is being simulcast on the HD and SD channels of the same station.

Could this feature be extended please, something along the following lines:

1. Allow the option to restrict the timers generated to one or the other when there is a simulcast - the user should be able to select either HD or SD (I would normally only want the HD, but for some older shows would prefer the SD to save disk space)

2. Allow the option to expand the "simulcast" detection by a user defined period (e.g. 1 hour) so that the above feature will come into effect when a show is on a staggered broadcast across a station's various channels (e.g. during the week Channel Ten News is on at 5:00pm on the SD channel, but 5:30 on the HD channel).
