Series: Blue Bloods
Date: 30 Mar 2017
Episode: Lost Souls (s07e15)
Region: Melbourne

This episode is marked as a repeat but I don't think it is.

Region: Melbourne
Date: 2 March 2016 (tonight)

The Good Wife is going to start on Ten (SD, LCN 10) at 21.45, but it is going to start on Ten HD (LCN 13) at 21.30. This seems improbable.  Isn't Ten HD a simulcast?

Because they start at different times my Beyonwiz T3 is going to record them both and disregard the Prefer HD flag, which I have turned on.

IceTV has provided beautifully detailed steps on adding the new channel 7flix to my T3, but I'm not getting any joy after following them.

What I've done: On the IceTV TV Guide Settings webpage, checked that 7flix is enabled and sent to the TV recorder as LCN "All". On the T3, scanned the frequency for channel 6 and saw 7flix appear as a new service (on channel 76 as it should be).  I can see it playing a loop advertising that it's starting tomorrow.  Rebooted the T3.  Then disabled the IceTV plugin, then re-enabled the IceTV plugin, then asked the IceTV plugin to Fetch EPG and update timers now.

What I expect to see: Guide data on the T3 for 7flix.

What I am seeing: A completely empty row in the on-screen guide for 7flix all week.

I also have a timer for The Amazing Race that I can see on the IceTV website but it has the yellow triangle icon and I am getting emails telling me that the timer is failing, reason "No matching service".  This makes sense: if the T3 can't get guide data it isn't going to get timers for the channel.

I have double checked that the T3 lists the service number as 76.

My location: Melbourne.
T3 Firmware: 2015-12-23 01:58
IceTV plugin: 20150925

Edit: Thanks Daniel, whatever you did fixed it for me (Also for TEN HD).

The reboot of animated series Danger Mouse starts on ABC3 on Monday Feb 29 2016 and seems to be on the same time each weekday.

The first two episodes on Monday Feb 29 and Tuesday Mar 1 are marked as repeats.  I don't believe they are.

(It's also not among the Coming Soon list on IceTV.)

Edit for posterity: this was fixed later on the day I reported it.

General Discussions / Daylight Saving for Doctor Who fans
September 28, 2014, 09:32:44 PM
Of particular interest to users of Beyonwiz DP-P2 and similar boxes that don't handle automatic daylight saving changeovers...

If you're recording ABC's first screening of Doctor Who on Sunday 5 October 2014, it is going to record about two hours after the daylight saving switchover, a time when you are likely to be asleep.  If you need to Do Something to your PVR after daylight saving changes, you're going to miss this one.

It might be wise to check your recording of Doctor Who on Sunday, in case you need to record the rebroadcast on Sunday night.

Or there's always iView.

This episode of Mythbusters has been on SBS before.  Your convention (a good one) is to mark repeats on a different network as repeats.  This one is missing the repeat flag.

Mythbusters
'Voice Flame Extinguisher / Hypnosis'
7mate, 7:30pm, Tue, 30 Oct 2012, 65 minutes

(Melbourne FWIW, though I'm sure that 7mate is national)

This started happening either with my upgrade to iOS6 on my iPhone 4, or with my iPhone 5.  I don't remember which.

1. Have a series recording for a series I lost interest in (in my case, Vegas).
2. Open the iPhone app.  Wait; let it populate the guide.
3. Press My Week.
4. Find Vegas.  Tap it.  Tap Remove Series from recorder.
5. App crashes back to the home screen.

I think it also happens if I just do a Remove Episode.

Other actions like adding new recordings are unaffected.

Edit: I raised a proper support ticket (#19910) for this.

This episode needs its repeat flag set:

Adam Hills in Gordon St Tonight

It's the first episode of the already-played 2011 season: http://www.abc.net.au/tv/adamhillsIGST/episodes/default.htm

Lately I've noticed that IceTV's guide is starting to list starting times as 9.05 instead of 9.00, or 8.40 instead of 8.30, on the premise that the show that's on before it is reality and/or game show TV and historically runs over by that much.

Good.  Keep it up.

Indeed, I think there's a beneficial side-effect: possibly out of spite, Nine has noticed, and started playing shows "early" so that I miss the beginning of them when I set my IceTV recorder off the IceTV schedule.  Now that the networks have been called out on their scheduling liberties, they're acting all innocent and (somewhat) following their advertised start times.

I think it's hilarious.

So the evidence is gone now, because IceTV doesn't let me see last night's guide...

Nine played two episodes of Unforgettable last night, but my EyeTV recorded only one.  Who screwed up?

(Way to go Channel Nine, you do this and then you don't even put the show on your wretched catchup.  Do you want me to go buy the DVDs?  Or learn how to use BitTorrent?)

General Discussions / Tapatalk plugin for this forum
September 03, 2011, 07:58:50 AM
Hey IceTV forum gods...

Can you please consider installing the Tapatalk plugin on this forum?  It'd let users read the forum using the awesome Tapatalk application, without us having to squint at tiny text through a phone web browser.  I see that there's a plugin for the Simple Machines forum.

Thanks.

Melbourne, Nine, 8.30 pm Wednesday August 31 (tonight) is marked as a new episode, but Nine has broadcast it before (perhaps on GO! or GEM).

Probably too late to do anything about this now.

Edit: Thanks Madeleine, I remember the fiasco when this episode first aired and wondered if that was the reason you did it.  I think you made the right call.
