IceTV EPG Content / Re: ONE Digital F1 listings

Maybe some kind person could let us know what happens with AFL in Melbourne or Adelaide tonight. Will it appear on ONE-Digital or not?

The AFL is on both Ten and ONE Digital in Melbourne, can't comment on ONE HD as I don't have HD and if I had to look at 3 channels of AFL I'd be forced to poke my eyes out.

Baharain was shown on ONE Digital as well.

Also the TV guide on YourTV shows the F1 on all 3 channels.

IceTV EPG Content / ONE Digital F1 listings

What's going on with the listing for the F1 on One Digital (12)? (Melbourne)

Baharain had the pre-race show in the listing then "To be advised" for the race, hence my pvr didn't set a timer for it - luckily I was in the country but it will be a tad inconvenient when I'm overseas as I am for half the year.

Same again for the AGP this weekend, 1200-1900 is "to be advised" then the post race from 1900 so no timer.

Topfield / Remote Reboot of IceBox2
December 21, 2007, 06:47:26 PM
Hi all

In NZ on hols and it looks like my Toppy in Melbourne has rebooted and the IceBox2 ain't happy and showing failed connection.

Can I reboot the IceBox2 thru the web interface? I can remote desktop into my PC and browse it thru there.

It has the up to date firmware but if I say update will it reboot?

Once you have downloaded it, is it ok to do the firmware update via the wireless connection or will an ethernet cable need to be connected?

Yes, missed the first hour of the USGP as the Ice time was an hour late, my fault for not checking.

XMLTV (General) / Simpsons repeat flags

Looks like the repeat flags are missing from those Simpson episodes which are repeats this week.

Adds a crapload of timers to the Toppy when the 6pm ones get added.

Some clarification: Do you mean there was no more detail in the long description??   Or are you saying that there is the required detail in the description, but you would llike some more detail in the show title?

Thanks

Peter

Both sort of  :-/

More info in the title is really what I would like.. At the moment, all that is displayed in the single channel title as on the left in the pic is "SPORT: Motor Sport", the extra stuff does show in the info panel on the right but this is not visible when you hit the red button to show the multi channel guide, and also is not visible in the record title.

As far as the additional info in the loing description, it would be nice if it was a V8 Supercar race to actually say it somewhere in the long description so that keyword scanners pick it up easily, be it any of the platforms.

The problem is that "Sport: Motor Sport" is the only information in the title.

Once again this weekend the Indy 300 shows up in the listings as "SPORT: Motor Sport"

I go though the guide on the Toppy and it shows "SPORT: Motor Sport" as the title in the short and long descriptions.

The movie titles show up as "MOVIE: Romancing The Stone" so therefore I would expect the motorsport to show up as "SPORT: Motor sport: Lexmark Indy 300" for this weekend But it doesn't.

Can you also include what motorsport it is, I mean, the description for this weekends shows is pretty crap, doesn't even mention V8 Supercars which kinda messes up anyone with deamons trying to search for Keywords. Would have though CART, Champ Car and V8 Supercars would appear in a description for those events.

XMLTV (General) / Sport/Motorsport/Movie tags

Why are these tags handled differently to the others.

You go though the listings and find tags such as [Cartoon] [News] [Soap Opera] [Childrens] in the description of a show but Sport and it's sub-categories, and Movie appear in the tiltle as well.

Sometimes with nothing else in the tiltle, for example this Sunday where both the Bathurst 1000 and Japan F1 GP appear in the listing as SPORT: Motorsport.

I am using the guide with TED/S-Ice for my Topfield (via a Netgear WGT634U which I have to say is working splendidly).

OK - when I first connected it and booted it I went into my office to check that it had synced with my router and noticed that my ADSL had conveniently gone down at the same time so that explains that, I'll do a reboot at some stage.

I finally had success and got the unit going.

One thing I have noticed is the time and date in the status page seems off.

ie: at the moment it is showing 1970-01-01 04:39:53 and the next sheduled update at 1970-01-01 14:00:00

how can this be changed - where does it get it's time from?
