Any thoughts, Daniel?

Hi Daniel,
The data is correct for the channels, it's only the logo that's wrong.

Hi all,

I've just set up my TV guide on Emby Premiere and using a Hauppauge HVR2200 TV tuner on my Windows 10 PC. Everything works okay, but the logos for a couple of channels in the guide are wrong.
Ten's channel ONE, which is mapped to 12, shows the channel 7 logo.
Ten's channel TEN HD, which is mapped to 13, shows the channel 9 logo.
These are Brisbane channels.
I'm not worried about the one on channel 12, as I can delete it within the Hauppauge software.
ONE is also mapped to 1, so I can use that.
I'm only interested in fixing the channel 13.
I've refreshed the guide, but it doesn't help.
Any clues? Will I have to delete the tuner and start again?

Hi Dave at IceTV,

Dave is correct, the cache folder isn't automatically created when IceTV Interactive restarts.
I set the permissions correctly and then restart the program, there are files written to the /3.0 folder but I had to manually create the cache folder.
Maybe a reinstall would've recreated everything, but I'm just happy it's all working properly.

Thanks to both Daves

Usually when you first open IceTV Interactive after deleting the cache Windows will pop up a permissions error message asking do you want to allow IceTV Interactive to create its folders. If you missed that message or didn't answer yes that could explain the missing channel logos folder.
Hi Dave,

I saw the popup and answered yes, so the permissions should've been set properly.
I've just manually created the missing /cache folder and I'll see if the error stops.
It may or may not be of interest, but I'm positive that the /ProgramData/IceTV/Interactive/3.0 was empty before I deleted it yesterday. Only the /3.0.0.37 folder had anything in it.
Maybe that was part of the hiccup in the first place.
Just to be sure, I'll delete the two folders again and make sure I set the permissions correctly.

Cheers, Dale

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your response.
I deleted the cache as you suggested and aside from multiple errors where the software can't find the path to certain .png files (channel logos by the looks), everything looks good.
I'll monitor it over the next day or so, but I'm confident that was the answer.

Thanks, Dale

Hi all,

I received an email from IceTV yesterday telling me that my recorder had stopped downloading the guide five days previously.
I checked and sure enough, I only had a couple of days on my guide left.
I manually updated which seemed to work okay but it doesn't look like it updated today. I only have five days of listings when I usually have up to seven.
Looking at the log in the IceTV Interactive tool (v3.00.37) it shows the "warn" error "Exception System.NullReferenceException - Object reference not set to an instance of an object".
This error repeats every minute. When I first looked at the log yesterday, I saw something mentioning a server error and to contact the server administrator. I'm assuming that means the IceTV server.
Unfortunately I cleared the log yesterday not realising I should've saved a copy.
So the short story is, I'd like to know what the error means and why my media centre suddenly stopped connecting to the IceTV server last Thursday at 11:34pm.
If someone can help me, I'd much appreciate it.
I've zipped the ice.log and ice.log.1 files and they are attached.

Cheers, Dale

Our database shows that the same episode was shown on the 21st and the 28th. The program title was "India With Guy Martin" and the episode title was "Our Guy in India".

Unfortunately they weren't the same episode. Episode one was on the 21st and episode two was supposed to be on the 28th.
If they were both on the database as the same episode, it explains why it didn't record.

Cheers for the replies,
Dale

We also recorded that episode of Almost Human, and missed the ending, even with 25 min post-padding (5 min longer than the default post-padding set by the Beyonwiz IceTV plugin).

I guess the only consolation is that it wasn't something I did wrong to cause the error. My padding was 30 minutes. I always set it long on the commercial networks.

I realised today that the second episode of "India with Guy Martin" on SBS2 didn't record yesterday.
I have no idea why because I can't go backwards with the Windows guide. I only know it isn't there. Could it have been incorrectly named so didn't record?
I don't know why SBS decided the correct name of "Our Guy in India" had to be changed.
I also had an episode of "Almost Human" recording on Gem on Tuesday night that stopped before the end because "Death Wish" was still running half an hour into my recording.
Again I can't verify anything because I can't go back in the guide.
Has anyone else have any issues lately with shows not recording correctly?

Hi all,

When I set up the guide in Vista, the instructions for IceTV Interactive says the following:

"When assigning guide listings to each channel you will need to ensure that in the second list (the guide channels) you only select channels below the option "Show no Listings for this Channel" as these are the correct guide channels."

I can't do that because there aren't any matching channels below that option. It shows every channel except the one I've selected (Not strictly true, I think ABC1 is there).
It doesn't seem to affect my use of the guide, but it is a bit strange. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong (I can't see how) or if the instructions are wrong.
The only reason I bring it up is because I occasionally get the error "Guide not available for your country or region. It's different to the setting in Control Panel" (Or something along those lines).
I've opened IceTV Interactive and clicked the "Fix Now" button, but I still get the error every now and then.
Anyone have any suggestions?

XMLTV (General) / Analogue data
February 03, 2009, 07:58:36 AM
Hi,

I am using MediaPortal happily with my digital TV tuners and viewing the IceTV data in the guide.
I also have an analogue tuner for just one channel (QCTV) but of course I have no EPG data for it.
Does anyone know of a way to view guide data for analogue stations?

XMLTV (General) / Re: "No data available" in EPG

Hi all,
I found the problem. Somehow the TV database got corrupted.
I imported from a backup and rescanned all channels and it seems to be working.

XMLTV (General) / "No data available" in EPG
January 02, 2008, 11:07:41 AM
Hi,
For the past few days I haven't been able to get any Guide data to display.
I haven't changed or updated anything in MediaPortal so I can't see that it could be a problem. It's just that all of a sudden, the guide data is corrupted somehow. Maybe there's an error in the data and MediaPortal doesn't know how to display it properly.
If I delete the tvguide.xml file and re-run webget, restart Mediaportal and tell it to import the tv guide, the EPG listing flashes up briefly then disappears. All entries then show "No data available".
I thought it might have something to do with the new year, but it began happening over the weekend.
Can anyone help?

Thanks for the reply.
I'll keep an eye on it and let you know if it happens again.
