Just recently my HDR-3000 won't play video files appearing on my HDR-7500. I have had no problem before now. The HDR-3000 connects to the 7500, can see the files but when I select the file, it just keeps saying "connecting" and eventually quits the "connecting" screen and returns to the folder. I can also see the files via FTP, the files on the 7500,

Any clues as to what is going on and how to fix?

Thanks,
George

Sincere apologies for my slow reply. I have reset the services and that removed the old locations and that corrected the problem. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Topfield / Toppy 2400 & IceTv guide problem
October 24, 2016, 02:21:59 PM
My Toppy is not receiving guide information for some channels (Gem, Go! and One e.g.) My Humax is okay. The Humax has Gem as 52 but the Toppy has 50. I can't seem to change the Toppy. Tried EPG reset, rescan channels but nothing changes?

Any help appreciated.

Hi Dave,

I've just fixed it. The problem was Telstra had switched me to a new plan and I found that my devices were accessing the "Telstra Air" network. I cancelled that and went back to my home network and all was well. I can't understand how Telstra Air appeared yet I had no input. Anyway all is working.

Hi,

I have a direct USB connection to my Topfield 5000MVP however since June 4 I haven't been able to connect and download the EPG. Coincidentally the same day Telstra installed a number of wireless networks FON and Telstra Air??? When I try to connect to the IceTv server I get a message that states "Unable to fetch EPG. Go to Members Area .... and select the EPG you want to use." When I go there the Topfield 5000 is not there (never has been but I could still download using the Topfield widget in XP).

Any clues as to what is going on?

Thanks for any help.

General Discussions / Customer Service
October 21, 2014, 11:03:15 PM
I have been a satisfied Ice TV customer for many many years but the recent lack of customer service has me baffled and questioning my loyalty.

I wanted to buy a replacement for my Humax that has finally failed after no end of trouble. I have left messages on the "unanswerable" Sales contact number only receiving a response when I emailed. As a result of the call I bought a Topfield 2400 (I have a 5000 that has been almost trouble free).

Ice Tv took my money on October 10 but no sign of the new Topfield. Calls and messages and no response.

If this is the level of poor service when I am buying, I'd hate to think what will happen with after sales service.

Is anyone else having these problems?

I rechecked all the *.ini files and made sure they were all in sync.

Topfield / Topfield 5000 EPG problem
September 23, 2014, 11:34:18 AM
Hi,

Since the channel changes here in Tassie, I rescanned the channels and I pick up the new channels however, my Topfield does not show any EPG data. ICETV EPG is blank and when I press GUIDE I get the message "no EPG data found". I have checked the various ini files and can see that the "services.ini" shows different data to that when I rescanned. e.g. ABC shows as 41 whereas in the services.ini shows ABC as "Channel_id=46". All the other channels are different too. How do I update all the data in the services.ini file (frequency, service_id, etc.)? I have attached the services.ini file.

Any help appreciated.

PS: I still use my Toppy as the Humax has been fraught with problems from the get go and now the HDD appears to be failing with recordings not showing up in Media and recordings failing.

Thanks,
George

I called tech support (should have done that first!) All may be well now.
Thanks.

IceTV EPG Content / Re: DST offset
March 29, 2009, 03:14:57 PM
Thanks Tony and blip. I applied the patch which I found here http://support.microsoft.com/gp/dst_hu1 and all is now well.
Don't know what we'd do without these forums.

Cheers,
George

Tony,
Coincidentally, my PC did adjust for the cessation of DST overnight. However, I did notice the problem yesterday. I have adjusted my PC to the correct time and reran TED+ but still the EPG time has shows (news etc) starting an hour early? From what you say then it is not an ICE issue but a TED/PC etc? I should post on the Toppy forum I guess?
Thanks for your reply.

George

IceTV EPG Content / DST offset

I notice that the ICE EPG data (showing in TEDs) from today has been offset allowing for the cessation DST. Daylight saving does end start until Sunday, April 5. Am I missing something?
