Yes, the IceTV account via the browser shows 7flix as being available.

IceTV EPG Content / Missing ALL EPG content for 7flix
November 14, 2021, 02:25:29 PM
G'day,

Region: NSW - Wollongong or NSW - South Coast
PVR: Beyonwiz V2

My brother in Batemans Bay is having trouble getting ANY content for 7flix to show up on the EPG. He can change to the channel on the V2 and the program is showing, however there us absolutely no EPG information shown.

He has set everything up correctly after logging in to his IceTV account via the browser, and he has the IceTV plugin in the V2, but no luck. If he disables IceTV on the V2 then data does show up for 7flix, but then does not get the benefits of IceTV. Enabling IceTV on the V2 ends up with nothing for 7flix.

Manually fetching EPG and timers does not bring entries for 7flix.

Is IceTV providing information for 7flix for those regions?

Thanks.

Humax / Issues with Humax 7510T rebooting
July 20, 2021, 10:13:26 AM
G'day,

My brother has a Humax 7510T (hope that's the right one) with two tuners and lately it has started locking up and/or rebooting.

He gets a message asking him to check his IceTV accounts settings only when he does that the unit reboots.

This can happen at any time.

Sounds like the issue that affected the Beyonwiz units a while back where this would happen like clockwork every 20 minutes or so.

It that case, the issue was revealed by looking at the log file, however I do not know the setup with the Humax and where the log file is or where the log file is located or if there is a log file at all.

As with the Beyonwiz issue, the spinner comes up and if sufficient time lapses the unit reboots. With the spinner up, the remote control is completely unresponsive. He has a Harmony remote and has tried it with both the original and the Harmony.

Any ideas as to what this might be?

Thanks.

Beyonwiz / Strange error on a Beyonwiz T2
January 24, 2021, 07:00:44 PM
G'day,

Over the past week I have had the attached error come up on my T2.

When this happens, the system is essentially locked for 20 to 30 minutes. There is no response from the remote control or the front panel switches.

The currently playing event will continue, however recordings have to be deleted as there is a pause every few seconds.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Well, Yesterday none of the regular programs I have set in IceTV recorded.

They were not listed in the IceTV system or my T2.

Has there been an issue with IceTV?

Thanks.

IceTV EPG Content / Re: ABC switching to HD transmission
December 06, 2016, 02:02:26 PM
Ok, I've managed to get my Beyonwiz T2 setup and configured, however I have no icon or logo for ABC HD.

Now, is this an IceTV issue because I'm using the IceTV EPG, or is it a Beyonwiz issue?

Thanks.

Is there a way of stopping the IceTV plugin from creating its own timers based on manually timers that have been set in the T2 and only adding timers that have been specifically set in IceTV?
#9
Thanks.

The reason I posted it here is because it is the IceTV plugin that keeps adding the timers. I know this because the IceTV logo is attached to the timer in the timer list. So, if I delete the timers added by IceTV (with their logo), the next time the IceTV information is fetched, there is first the timers I have set which get picked up by IceTV, and then IceTV sends its information to the plugin and this adds a duplicate set of timers (with their logo) to the list on the T2. I then get duplicate recordings.

It does not matter if I go into my IceTV account and remove all my timers, the fact that it reads the timers from my T2 means they get set back in IceTV.

Now I have only a single instance of the channels with Last Scanned and Favourites are completely blank.

There are no duplicates of channels in my terrestrial _lcn file either (i.e. the channels like 1, 2, 3, 7, 9 have been effectively disabled with the only lines that hold information being 11,12, 13, 21, 22, 23, 24, 30, 32, 33, 70, 71, 72, 73, 76, 90, 92, 93 and 94.)

I know it is the IceTV plugin doing this because if I disable the IceTV plugin, I do not get anything added and no duplicate timers.

I am also aware of issues with the way the T2 handles channels and their LCN. What is happening at the moment is IceTV working as it did for the earlier Beyonwiz models which used the LCN and not the line position in the .tv file to give it a pseudo LCN. This should really not be a problem as all that needs to happen is to read the LCN and then transpose that to a line in a.tv file, and then check the timer list to see if there is already a timer programmed that matches. If there is not, then add one, otherwise skip it.

As things stand, there is a significant incompatibility between the Tx series and IceTV, and there is no setting in IceTV to deal with this behaviour.

So, at the moment I have IceTV disabled. I will wait and see if there are any developments, however it does not look good for IceTV and me at the moment.

G'day,

How do I disable IceTV Smart Recording?

I have a Beyonwiz T2, and I have set a whole lot of timers in my T2. Unfortunately, IceTV kicks in with "Smart Recording" and decides to duplicate everything. As a result I end up with every recording duplicated.

I want the ability to manually set a recording, but what I do not want is IceTV to read my timer list on the T2 and then decide to use these settings to create a parallel set of timer recordings of its own and send those to the T2, thereby duplicating everything.

At the moment, it would appear the only way to do this is to abandon using IceTV altogether and just using the Freeview EPG. I do like the IceTV EPG, just that it appears to be quite incompatible with the T2.

Beyonwiz / Error with EPG - What does it mean?
November 05, 2015, 10:47:01 PM
G'day,

I keep getting a strange error message that then sees weird things happening with the EPG on my DP-P2.

The error message gets truncated, but here is as much as can be shown.

"Error: Updating task data: Duplicate entry 62805-38-2015-11-08 01:40:00-30 for key 'pimp_task_id..."

Now, I've gone to the scheduled task for 1:40 am on 08-11-2015, deleted them and then re-selected them so that there is no overlap, but no luck. The same error message will pop up.

Any ideas?

Your recorder may have stopped updating last weekend during the scheduled maintenance last Friday. Try switching the recorder off at it's rear switch or power point for 10 seconds. If it's a media centre or computer try rebooting it.
I have a Beyonwiz DP-P2, and it was working. When it stopped yesterday, there was something about a duplicate entry. I did not make a note about it because I figured rebooting would fix it. It didn't.

I have just powered it down, unplugged it and then restarted it and it all seems to be working right now.

Thanks.

G'day,

Has there been any development on this? I have just lost all EPG this evening. Checking my account it says I am logged in, but still no EPG.

I have not received any information regarding the payment process being up and running.

Ok, this is all getting a little confusing with little information flowing.

We are told that we would get an e-mail telling us that the service would end in a number of days so that we could renew for a month if we wanted to.

So far, nothing has been received as to when the old system will be shut down, but today I have started getting an "authorisation failed" message popping up with the IceTV Windows utility.

What is happening? Has the old system been shut down, and what happens next?

Quote from: antman on October 20, 2015, 05:12:53 PMIt doesn't appear that is what has happened here. In this case, a new company has purchased the assets of the company in administration (it appears only those assets related to the EPG and related services as well as the business name "IceTV" but not any assets related to the Skippa) with a view to operating them to provide a similar service to that provided by the original company. Only those assets have been acquired and no debt has been paid out: all of the debts and other obligations (as well as the rights and benefits) of the previous company stay with that company under the control of the administrator. The offer would have been made to, and accepted by, the administrator, not any of the secured creditors (proofs of debt have not been finalised yet) There has been no indication yet that any creditors have been paid out or a scheme of arrangement entered into nor whether any liabilities have been carried over in relation to employees (accrued annual leave, long service leave, etc.) who have been employed by the new company. Whatever was paid for the assets will go into the pool available to pay out the administrators and then creditors according to the order of priority set down by the relevant laws, predominantly the (Commonwealth) Corporations Act.

The order of priorities goes:

Government (in particular ATO, but also takes into account things like rates)
Administrator
Secured creditor(s)
Unsecured creditors (all of us including employees, their unused leave, superannuation that has not been paid in, etc)

The only problem is that by the time it gets to the unsecured creditors, there is little left if anything.

I got caught up when a client of mine went in to voluntary administration and I was owed just under $10,000. After over 12 months in administration, the unsecured creditors (all of us including employees, their unused leave, superannuation that has not been paid in, etc) ended up with just under 23 c in the $. The bank sold its debt to an unsecured creditor who was owed the most for even less than that, and the one who was the sole secured creditor and the largest unsecured creditor ended up with the company assets minus all the liabilities where he sold the remnants to another company and covered his debt. The rest of us missed out.

It is a mess.
