Worth noting that I needed to clear service list before rescanning channels on Topfield 2400, otherwise the LCN's get all messed up.

Topfield / SmartEPG tap and Icetv
June 06, 2013, 11:17:45 PM
I like the extra features the the SmartEPG Tap provides for my Topfield 2400, but I'm having a few issues.
I realise that SmartEPG reads from the FTA EPG rather than Ice, but it seems that Ice can still set the timers pretty well according to it's guide, it seems that the IceTv guide is still downloaded and stored on the box.
The problem at the moment is with padding, SmartEPG disables the native padding settings, but IceTv timers use those settings, and now I miss the end of most of my shows as a result.
Is there anyway to stop the overriding of padding settings with SmartEPG?

Does anyone use SmartEPG successfully with IceTV?

I have a Beyonwiz, and it works as Dan described - if a show is removed or changes schedule, the original recording is deleted and replaced if necessary.
Is your Beyonwiz running the latest firmware?
Perhaps a reset of settings and deletion of timers (then resend) and iceguide might get it working again.

It's nice that it does work now, although the app doesn't allow you to reschedule the recording, only to cancel the already failed timer. So if a show fails to be sent, you have to go the site to reschedule it, or cancel the episode and re-add it, not very convenient.

I have missed shows on more than one occasion due to conflicting timers on my Beyonwiz, and these are not shown by the yellow triangles on the app like they are on the website, so there is no way to tell that they have not been sent to the BW. The Mac dashboard widget has the same issue.

Will there be an update to correct this?

Im having a problem with the app. The yellow triangles that show next to recordings that have failed to be sent to pvr do not appear in the app, which has caused me some problems not knowing about timer clashes unless I go to the website. The recordings show as closed circles, indicating they have been sent to the pvr, which is not the case.

IceTV EPG Content / Underbelly repeat on GEM sunday
February 11, 2011, 07:18:03 AM
According to tv tonight, there will be a repeat of underbelly: tell them lucifer was here on Sunday night at 8:30pm on GEM, it currently does not appear on the ice guide, it shows a movie instead.
I have a favorite on my Beyonwiz P1 for this as well, using the Wollongong guide.

I've had this happen too, and I believe it's because of the new data added as a result of the two new channels (7mate and Gem). The timers did seem a bit random, but easy to get rid of.

I deleted the offending timers, and everything has worked fine since.

This is going to be a bigger problem than I thought - 7mate is showing multiple showings of old shows, and unless you record them all, there is no way for IceTV to just record the first showings.

Just realised that 'record 1' won't work, since the second DS9 repeat showing is on a different day - rather annoying!

I have a recording set up for Star Trek DS9 on GO!, but each episode shows twice in 24 hours, and I don't want to record both. Since all the episodes are marked as repeats, I can't use that as the filter.

I started by just deleting the second showing each week from my recordings list, but now I'm trying the "Record 1 per day" setting, which should work.

What I'm concerned about is that if GO! changes the schedule of shows (which seems to happen often) and starts showing double episodes, I will miss episodes being recorded.

Is there a way to record the "first current showing" of a show when it is already marked as a repeat for all episodes?

I use Win GO! on my Beyonwiz, and GO! repeats all shows from the night before in the morning.
On the Ice guide they shouldn't be scheduled for recording, since I set them for First Runs Only, but they are not listed as repeats, and record on my BW as well.
Could these be marked as repeats from now on please?

Having problems with my shows appearing and dissapearing from my recordings. I missed Rush last night because it wasn't scheduled to record, and now Supernatural has gone, even though it's got the grey icon in the guide, and it's set to 'Prefer High Def' it should still be scheduled. Even with it set to 'Only standard def' it still does not schedule.

Nice that the formatting problems with the guide in Firefox have been fixed, is the orange text supposed to be what's on now? It's been a bit hit and miss today with whats been highlighted.
