Hi All,

I have attached a part of a log file from the ice tv application.

You will notice the following for Britain's Got Talent for the 24/05/2017:
23/05/2017 08:54:28.072 - Adds recording on 9HD
23/05/2017 09:09:44.788 - Cancels recording on 9
23/05/2017 09:09:49.160 - Cancels recording on 9HD

I'm not sure why the HD version is being recorded as I have the series setting set to prefer SD recordings.

On a side note at 23/05/2017 09:09:51.170 in the log it then schedules the Last Resort on 9 which not a show I watch.

Thanks and hope to hear from somebody?

Hi Dave,

As per my new post in the Windows MCE 7 section my recordings are still being cancelled.

I have well over a Terabyte of space on my recording drive.

You are correct Dave, the recordings are scheduled then a few days later they are cancelled.

Thanks

Windows Media Center / Cancelled Recordings

Hi Everyone,

I am having issues where programs are being set to record through ICE TV but a few days out they are being cancelled.  I can see this through the history within MCE.

A few programs of late that have been cancelled and failed to record:
* Formula 1
* Britain's Got Talent
* Masterchef
* 4wd Touring Australia

I have had to setup Series with in MCE to make sure these are recorded.

Has anybody else experience this or got some clues as to why this is happening.

Thanks

Somebody was listening. Watch this space...

Hi Dave,

I hope you aren't playing with my mind.

I was so gutted to be loosing the IceTV service. I've been using it since my old Topfield 3000 with an Icebox (I think that was the name) before updating to Windows Media Centre (XP to Vista to Windows 7).  It been so long since I've set up a timer but yesterday I removed IceTV from MCE and went to Over the Air guide. I think I'm going to struggle deciding what is a new episode and what is a repeat and let's not get started on the show naming procedure. Arghhhhhhhhhhhh!

I for one hope that what ever is in the wind comes off and IceTV can continue to operate, but if it doesn't good luck in the future and thanks for all the help in the past years.

Good Evening,

I have just been looking through my scheduled recordings and all the Series setup to record that have new episodes have all been cancelled today within my Media Centre when I look through the history, e.g. Britain's Got Talent, Masterchef.  Anything that is set to record with repeats seems to be ok.

Has something changed in the data feed or how the EPG data is sent to Windows 7?

Thanks
Duncan

Thanks for the reply Dave but the guide is using IceTV Data and it is only the mentioned programs that seem to be missing details.

I have looked in the Guide and on Wednesday this week Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam just have Generic Details where Thursday and Friday are Ok.

Thanks

I have a noticed in the guide that the details for some shows e.g. Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam just have generic details list against them in my guide on my PC but on the site it actually lists the episode name and details.

Why are these details never updated to the guide on my PC?

I have only just noticed this happening.

Thanks
Duncan

I have changed my clock on the PC to 3 minutes faster and disabled the time check from the internet so that I get some pre padding to the shows!

Hope this hint might help some people around this problem for the moment  :-\

Windows Media Center / Pre Padding

I am having issues with padding.  Since the errors in 3.0.0.5 where it padded the end to 15 hours instead of 15 minutes now in version 3.0.0.7 we have no padding at the beginning and 15 minutes at the end?  If you restart you get the padding at the beginning but after a while you no longer get it?  Anybody else having this problem?

I have the default isn media centre set to 3 minutes at the beginning and 15 minutes at the end?

Help this is very annoying and causing me to miss the beginning of shows and have a very angry Wife! :'(
