I looked for "Nigella Feasts" on your guide, but couldn't find it anywhere. Search wouldn't find it. It was on at 6:30pm this evening, but the guide lists "Return of the Chef" going until 7:00pm.

Is that saucy minx back on TV?  *Looks for tv schedule*

Hi all.

Is there a way to delay the startup of the IceTv Interactive on PC's, with wi-fi network cards by 1, 5 or 10 minutes, so that the computer has time to connect to the net first?

Thanks,

Dormant.

General Discussions / Re: Over time shows

Why does commercial TV hate it's viewers so much? It's not like we pay thier bills by watching their mind poisoning stuff, when really we should be out socialising or reading something peer-reviewed :(

I don't watch Ghost Whisperer anyway. It anoys me every time I see it at the start of my Bionic Woman episodes. I think the TV Stations should brodast an "end of transmision" signal after every show so that PVR's actually know when to start and stop recording, rather than rely on muliple interpretations of what the time is. This is especially important when recording shows consecutively.

Hey Guys,

The ABC Catalyst episodes that screen at 8:00pm on thursdays are repeated by the ABC the following Tuesday at 1:30pm.

Can you mark them as repeats so that I do not re-record them?

Thankyou.

IceTV EPG Content / TvGuide wrong for Stargate SG-1
September 07, 2007, 10:45:12 PM
The guide time for Stargate SG-1 was out by half an hour on 7/9/01. My guide recorded at 12:00am-1:00 am, instead of 11:30-12:30am. Half an hour of SG-1 was recorded and half an hour of "Life as We Know it" was recorded. I live on the Gold Coast.

Hehe. I think the whole initial "EPG" issue in Australia was not in the best interests of TV audiences or advertisers, and considering the ease of availabilty of EPG's in other countries, it put Australia technologically behind the other countries. Media Centre was delayed in Aus due to the fact there was not an EPG available at the time of initial distribution. I am happy that some networks are showing their "Blockbuster" shows as soon as they are released in the US (Heroes) and not waiting untill six months later, when you have already found out what happened in the next season accidentally on the internet.

IceTV and EPG's broaden a networks audience, as you can now record "Battlestar Gallactica" when it is screened at 11:30 at night, instead of buying the season on DVD and totally bypassing all the advertising. By allowing the recording of TV to view later, every timeslot is "Prime Time". The networks could then increase advertising fees for shows, based on the content of the program and its viewer ratings! This could also nurture developing programs who rely on audience ratings and timeslots to survive (farscape). Maybe then, quizmaniacs, could the networks find something worthwile to replace the Mint, the view ...

Hey Guys,

IceTv's one touch recording, EPG and Program information that is saved when you record shows; makes the crisp HD quality programs that you can save and burn onto DVD (or Blu-Ray, if you are so inclined) so satisifying! Thank you for making TV a better entertainment platform!

P.S. If the ads on free to air are good and enjoyable, I still watch them. So the advertisers only need to feel threatened when they broadcast poorly voiced over US adds - remember the Tic-tac add? Great - Huh?

Yeah, that remote looks pretty handy.
