Hi,

Following the setup guides for MythTV, I am presented with this error dialogue when I proceed to scan channels.

Mythbuntu
Ubuntu version 12.04
MythTV version 0.25

The issue was mythtv-backend daemon hadn't been stopped. The GUI asked me to stop it and I agreed, but looking in the porocess list, it was still running. I found this by looking at the mythtv-setup.log and seeing:

E CoreContext dvbchannel.cpp:232 (Open) DVBChan(1:/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0): Failed to open DVB frontend device due to fatal error or too many attempts.
