Do the failed timer notifications happen straight after timer enacted or only when the associated tv programs are starting.

The failed timer notification is generated when icetv receives a message from the device that the timer couldn't be created. This would normally be either when you create a series recording for the first time or when the timers get uploaded onto your device from the icetv server, which is normally a week in advance. But but could happen later if the time of a show changes.
