make sure that ABC2 is using the Ice guide listings. Seems like it finds 3 ABC2's, but none of them are using the ICE guide so it bails.

do this in media center

settings -> TV -> guide -> edit channels

then scroll down to 22 and see whats next to it. mine says:

(tick)      22             ABC2-IceTV

if it doesn't say that, click it and then click edit listings.

scroll down to ABC2 - IceTV

click it, then click save, and it should work.....

then again it might not.....

Yep thats what mine says too, all seems correct. I also have also tried to "setup tv signal" again. Still the same.

I am having the same issue with this "... No matching IceTV channel for channelID 22..."
I have checked ABC2 ... it's using channel 22, it's got the ICETV guide active and I can see the ICE TV program guide.  Not really sure what this error is describing.

Currently I am not getting any recordings scheduled through interactive, only guide updates - and my error log seems to spool out more errors about every 5 seconds  :-[.

if anyone has a fix for this - I'm all ears.
I wrote to ICE TV support with part of my log yesterday - if they provide a fix, I'll test and post results back to the forum.

Cheers,

I compressed my logs and sent to ICE for review.
The logs are now complaining of...

26/11/2009 17:45:02.373: WARNING No matching IceTV channel for channelID 22 callsign Deleted(10/24/2009 01:37:58): ABC2

26/11/2009 17:45:02.419: DEBUG There are 5 matching channels for channel number 22

I am getting the same error for lots of channels...
SBS HD (Channel 30)
ABC2 (Channel 22)
ABC HDTV (Channel 20)

.. it always says 5 matching channels.
I will post feedback once the ICE guys have had a chance to look over my logs.

Cheers,

Im getting the same issues reported here as well. If you set interactive to 'Guide only' it seems to resolve the errors that appear every 15 seconds, so I guess its related to remote recording..?

Is there an official response from IceTV on this yet?

Have talked to ICE support guys.
Seems they are aware of the problem.  They said they were hoping to release an update in 'about a week' - more than a week ago  :o...
I seem to SOMEHOW get recordings scheduled.. but the error log is spewing out a massive number of errors - so it's hard to see what's working and what isn't.

I maintain ALL of my channels are using ICE TV Guides.
The ICETV tech guy seemed to think the issue was 'something to do with removing / disabling some channels from your W7 MC TV guide' but wasn't able to provide me with a workaround at this time.

Will post if I get a fix / workaround / update

I was getting it for any channel where I setup a timer on the MC instead of Ice Interactive.    It seems the MC still reports the old channel names (despite choosing the ICE versions for each channel) and thus ICE thinks these don't exist in its system.

The latest update does not appear to fix the problem either.  I have sent a follow up email to support on the ticket that I logged.

I also installed the latest and greatest last night.. .and found the 'No matching IceTV channel... ' log errors were still pouring into logs every 7 seconds or so.

Disappointing.. I was hoping this would be fixed.  I also don't understand the actual impact - are recordings not making it from ICE to Media Center or are Media Center recordings not making it to Ice?  ??? (both)?

It seems that Media Center recordings are not making it to Ice?

That was my experience, any recordings done thru the media centre GUI would have the non ICE channel IDs then all hell breaks loose with the ICE logs going crazy.   Delete the offending timers, and it is peace in the world again (well, as far as the interactive app logging is concerned).   Interactive timers being sent *to* the Media Centre works fine.

Except for one small thing - recording for one hour is scheduled for 960 minutes.

Seems something is off in the new version and if you schedule from the web the timing is off.

Yeah.

I have Media Centre default to stop 15 minutes after the show finishes but they all change to 15 hours after!!!

15 hours isn't even an option to manually set...

So it looked like there was ANOTHER update last night.
I installed it and hoped for the best...

If anything there are MORE logs getting churned out.  I am loathe to remove all my media center recording schedules just to fix the ICE TV logs.  One of the reasons is that ICE doesn't let me set how many episodes to keep.  Some shows we keep 'forever' because our toddler loves them and they aren't on TV any more - other things, like news, we only want to keep 2 recordings max.  So in the past I have set up recordings, and then altered them in Media Center to set the retention rules - I guess this is causing the problem, but ICE should be able to handle it.

Looks like its just excessive logging when shows are scheduled on MCE itself, rather than via the Interactive service. Is there anything not actually working?

I had a conversation with Daniel from ICE TV.
We talked about how I have set up my current recordings - which for forum members was a combination of all of the following

- individual recordings set up on MC
- individual recordings set up on ICE (web and iPhone)
- series set up on ICE, MC, iPhone

Previously I was getting 'No matching ICE TV...' and now I am getting

Exception NullReferenceException - Object Exception ....

Damien requested the logs from the new Interactive for Windows 7.
He explained that this is likely a conflict in series recording between Media Center (MC) and ICE.
I was given some steps that would effectively 'refresh' recordings on ICE FROM MC recordings.

I explained that I often 'tweak' series recordings on the MC to set file retention rules (eg. keep 2 episodes of news, 10 episodes of mind numbing WotWots shows for the toddler).

I will post any feedback from ICE on my logs and let members know if the 'resend from MC' steps solve my current conflict issues.  I may need to choose 1 PLACE for series recordings for now - which would be the MC as it has more options.

... not sure if it falls under the category of 'it just works' quite yet... but at least ICE seem to be working hard to sort out issues...
