Title: Channel Number Confusion
Post by: foleyma on July 01, 2009, 10:16:19 PM
I have installed the latest Sage TV with the ICE TV addin and everything works great.

The only thing I am confused about is why the channel numbers are all wrong.  When you download the channel setup it just numbers them sequentially from 1 to 23, with SBS at 1, and Seven at channel 9 etc etc.  Every set top box, SD and HD TV I have every tuned uses a standard set of channel numbers (7 for Seven, Nine for 9, 70 for Seven HD etc).

What doesn't SageTV/Ice TV use these same numbers?

Sorry if I am missing something obvious?

The standard used for Aussie DVB-T numbering is called "LCN" which is logical channel numbering.   If you have some kind of option for that, select it.
