i live in southwest western australia. i get gwn, but not 7 digital and i get win, but not 9 digital. but both 7 digital and 9 digital show on the icetv tv guide. if i try and record something on either 7 digital or 9 digital, i get a failed timer email saying it's an invalid channel number. how do i stop those 2 channels showing on the tv guide?

i worked out how to disable and hide the channels i don't receive, but they shouldn't have showed in the first place for my area. if they are available in other parts of regional wa, then there needs to be a seperate region option for down here.

Hi Kerri,

We are working on a system that will allow customers to select their postcode and then automatically get the correct channels in their account.

Currently, for regional regions there is more involved than just disabling the channels that you don't get. You also need to set the other commercial channels to the channel number that you get them on. For example, 7two has both 72 and 62 enabled if you leave 7two set to 'All'. I have set what should be the correct channel numbers for your location.

For anyone else needing to set the correct channels in their account please see our guide here:

Kerri, to ensure that your Humax uses these channel numbers from your IceTV account please do the following:

Check that your Humax has the latest software installed:
http://support.icetv.com.au/entries/20414081-how-do-i-upgrade-the-firmware-of-the-humax

Switch the Humax off at the rear power switch, or power point, for 10 seconds to force it to download the channel list and guide data again.

i do have the latest firmware and have reset factory defaults and turned off dynamic update and turned of auto timer power off thing. i have had pretty much every problem anyone has asked about on the humax forum since i got this machine a couple of weeks ago. honestly, i wish tivos were still available here. but i have the humax now and have to try and make it work.

It sounds like you are using wireless and the Humax is unable to stay connected to your wireless network. Trying the TV Portal on the Humax is a good way to test if it has Internet access or not.

If you are using wireless please see our wireless troubleshooting tips here:

Or you could try a Ethernet network cable instead of wireless for a week to see if that solves your issues.
