The parking metre
« on: September 22, 2013, 12:43:50 PM »
The series summary for Inventions That Shook The World talks about the invention of "the parking metre"?

Is that a different length from the accustomed "length of the path travelled by light in vacuum during a time interval of 1/299,792,458 of a second"?

I was wondering whether it was a reference to the phenomenon that a parking spot always seems smaller than you thought once you try to manoeuvre your vehicle into it :)

ETA: I see it's been fixed now anyway.
