The Missing Eighth Wonder Of The World (SBS, 17:30, Sat, 23 Apr) in today's "What's on this Weekend" is listed in the IceGuide as a standalone, rather than a series, but according to IMDb, it's episode 3 of the first season of the series Raiders of the Lost Past, which IMDb lists as having has three seasons, of 13, 13 and 11 episodes each.

The IceTV synopsis of "The Eighth Wonder" reads like the synopsis of the series (and it even includes the text "this series"), not a summary of the actual "Eighth Wonder" episode.

The IMDb synopsis of "The Eighth Wonder" is much more specific:
Quote
In 1941 the Germans looted one of the Soviet Union's most important art works, called the Amber Room. An extraordinary series of C18 amber screens worth millions of pounds and considered, by many, the 8th wonder of the world. It was taken to the Baltic city of Konigsberg. 4 years later at the end of the war, it had vanished. So began one of the greatest treasure hunts of the twentieth century.

It seems that this is just following some rather random SBS scheduling. The same time slot on 30 Apr has S1 Ep6 of Raiders of the Lost Past, The Lost Sword of the Samurai, and then on 7 May, S1 Ep7, Himmler and the Holy Grail.

Looking at IMDb also reminded me that "What's on this Weekend" also correctly listed S1 Ep5, The Real King Solomon's Mines in that timeslot on 16 Apr.

SBS also ran:
26 Mar: S1, Ep2 The Quest for Noah's Ark
2 Apr: S1, Ep1 Hitler and the Spear of Destiny
9 Apr: S1, Ep4 The Hunt for Pirate Treasure

All marked as "Documentary" rather than "Documentary Series", which they probably should have marked as.

Thanks for this information PRL. The SBS data has been saying they are all separate on off documentaries. Now being aware of this I can change these and look out for it in the future! Cheers, you are always a great help :)

Thanks. No problem.

We'd decided we wanted to record "The Eighth Wonder" on the basis of the IceTV synopsis, but I got curious about it and saw that it was in fact an episode of "Raiders of the Lost Past" that we'd seen already. :)
