Series Recordings for Olympics: London 2012
« on: July 30, 2012, 08:57:05 AM »
I have set series recordings for all of the London Olympics sessions on GEM (HD, ACT Region). These are working fine, but as a result some series recordings for Olympics sessions (not all of them) have also been set on Interactive for WIN NSW (SD).

Not a major hassle, the SD sessions can be deleted, but a minor nuisance.
Topfield TF7100HDPVRt, Beyonwiz DP-P2, Beyonwiz T2, Beyonwiz U4, Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2200, Hauppauge WinTV-MiniStick 01240, Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD (x2)

Hi

The reason some eps are being set to record on WIN is because the day is split up slightly differently on the two channels. (There is the odd half hour here and there, usually around news time, that's only on one of the channels rather than both simultaneously).

If you're sure you only want to record the Olympics on GEM then you can set your recording to "HD only" instead of "Prefer HD". This will ignore all SD showings on WIN.

Thanks

Thanks Madeleine. I have now found the "HD only" option. I mistakenly thought that it had gone with the new Interactive format.

Hi

Just a quick heads up, because you are only recording the Olympics on GEM in HD.

When NRL games are on the Olympics is only being shown on the main channel (in SD), it's not being simulcast on both channels.

For example, tonight 7.30-9.30 pm is only on 9/WIN. You may want to manually record that timeslot because your "HD only" setting won't pick it up.

Cheers

Reminds me to check if the NRL will be on Gem for the southern states as usual and Olympics on Nine.
Not that it maters to much as long as one channel has the Games/NRL.

I could of checked last weekend but I prefer AFL so did not check.
Of to the guide I go now.

Kevin.
