Grand Design WAS a repeat yesterday
« on: December 19, 2015, 02:46:52 AM »
Grand Designs
The Chapel, Cornwall (Repeat)

    10.24am - 11.15am
    ABC
as  was this

The House of Straw, Islington (Repeat)

    5.24pm - 6.14pm
    ABC
I have no way of telling if my IceTV app is playing up again on the Wiz and recording random shows again, or if these were not marked repeats

I don't think this was a repeat error. I'm in Melbourne and record first runs of Grand Designs and it didn't record.

Both of these shows were first run in 2008 and as such were marked as repeats?

Yes, I agree. I'm saying that my devices correctly didn't record them so there must be another issue with Judy's.

Hi csutak40  both of these shows were marked as repeats?

Well then, the random  and varied problems remain.  :'(  (No Channel 31, blank recordings AND the occasional random recording of shows) Still waiting for Dave to get back to me. :(

Usually, I can easily pick the things recorded in error, as they are shows I never heard of.  Just so happens, I do have Grand Designs set to record, but first runs only.  (just double checked, that hasn't changed)

... No Channel 31 ...
Australian Community Television licences will terminate at the end of this month.

The Australian 10/9/2014:
Quote
Community channels, including Melbournes Channel 31 and TVS in Sydney, have until December 31 next year to switch their broadcasts to the internet.

It's a decision I deplore, but I can understand why IceTV wouldn't put the effort in to maintain their EPG.

Icetv do provide the C31 epg, it's just that Judy can't get it.

I thought they got an extension?  Could be wrong...
I had no problem with it till recently.  Then one day it just got ticked disabled (not by me) so I restored the tick and it went nuts.  Set hundreds of random recordings (not just for 31) which I had to delete manually.  Then Dave said he had re-set 31, except it has gotten unticked again and I am not game to tick it again.  I suppose it isn't the end of the world, I record three shows on there, and as I am still using  the Toppy, so if you're right and it is going anyway...
Oh, just found this http://www.c31.org.au/news/view/story/66
Australia's five community television stations recently received a letter from the Minister confirming an offer of a 12 month extension to the apparatus (transmitter) licence, which will allow CTV to remain on free-to-air television until December 31st, 2016.
