Hi

I just sat down to watch my recording of The Good Wife from Wednesday only to find that only the first episode was recorded instead of both new eps which aired, why is that? I believe the change to a double ep was done 3 days prior to airing and was well publicised. Did Ice have it in the schedule was it marked as new or repeat what went wrong? as you don't keep a history of the schedule on the website I can't go back and check but for a paid service I expect better.  >:(

Hi Mel

We definitely made this change. This is what we had in our guide for Wednesday night (both eps marked as new) ...

20:30 - 21:35    The Good Wife    The Art of War    
21:35 - 22:35    The Good Wife    Anatomy of a Joke

We deleted Emily Owens MD and added the second episode of The Good Wife on Tuesday lunchtime, ie. about a day and a half before the actual broadcast.

The most common reason why a recording fails is a conflict with too many things set to record at once. I can't tell whether that's the case but I'll create a support ticket for this query so that customer support can check your account.

It looks like you had a timer conflict due to 2 other shows that were already scheduled: 'The Bridge' and 'At The Movies'.

Looks like I better give my machine a look over then because I have 2 dual digital tuners so should be able to record 4 programs at once I will test this when I get a chance

I was able to set 4 manual recordings through WMC all for the same time on 7,9,10,SBS all recorded with no conflict errors, will soon try through the ice interactive

Hi Mel,

Ok, I cannot see any obvious reason why the 2nd episode was not scheduled for you.

But yesterday we did find and fix a bug in our system that could have caused some recorders to miss recording the occasional show if that show had been changed during the week. If this was the cause of your missed recording, it should not happen again.
