Humax - android app
« on: February 12, 2014, 07:25:59 PM »
I am new to both humax and ice tv. I love that I can remotely set programs to record.

What I would also love is to be able to look on my app to see what programs/movies I have already  got recorded on the humax.  Is this something that icetv are going to add.

Hi sworange,

If you enable "Content Sharing" on the Humax (Menu > Settings > System > Internet Setting) you can then use any media player app that supports DLNA to not only see the list of recordings but also play them from the phone/tablet.

To allow streaming Humax recordings to your phone, PC or Mac you need to enable Content Sharing on the Humax.
To turn on Content Sharing:

   1. Go to 'Menu > Settings > System > Internet Setting'.
   2. Highlight 'Content Share'.
   3. Press OK to dismiss the Copyright Agreement.
   4. Press the right arrow, highlight ON and press OK.
   5. Exit the menu.

Then you need a media player that can access DLNA servers. One of the popular media players is ArcMC.
cheers
