End of $49 discount subscriptions?
« on: February 29, 2012, 12:38:59 PM »
I got an email from IceTV today on a discount 12 month subscription - $70, rather than the more generous $49 that has been offered in the past. Is this the end of $49 discount subscriptions?

It would appear to be so.

I wouldn't be so pessimistic. In the past Ice has been more generous around Fathers' Day and Christmas time.

The $70 "not for another four years" offer looked to me like a tryon. Good luck to them if they snagged a subscriber or two.

I tend to agree. The "not for another four years" sounded like in might have meant "no leap year specials for another four years". Now that's a surprise :)

But it's the size of the discount, rather than how frequently they might come around, that I was wondering about.

I think the size of the discount was related to the number of days in February this year.   :D
