My suspicion is that the "IceTV Web still shows queued even though timer has been set" is due to the handshake between the IceTV server and the Beyonwiz doesn't complete for some reason.
That is what the Ice techs told me when trying to diagnose the issue with a Topfield TF7100HDPVRt. Logs showed that the most successful handshake (to my mind) was almost immediately after the first transfer of timers to the PVR. Sometimes the handshake would not show in the logs until the second or third transfer of timers. Sometimes the handshake was not there at all.
This was occurring on and off over the past two to three months. The techs were in the process of knocking up some test software to test my connection with the servers. There was a suggestion in the background that caching by ISPs might be the culprit. You will recall what you thought about that.
We didn't pursue the issue because the TF7100HDPVRt developed a fault in the meantime, possibly due to a failing power supply. We agreed that the PSU might be at the root of the open red circle issue; or on the other hand, it could have had absolutely nothing to do with it.
Throughout, the issue never surfaced with my DP-P2. Occasionally an open red circle might appear but was resolved on next startup from standby.
