IceTV Setting All Timers 2 Hours Early
« on: May 30, 2015, 10:55:08 AM »
For about 3 days now IceTv keeps setting all my timers 2 hours early
Whenever I fix them, the next update changes them back to 2 hours early
My Week keeps changing the timers to the grey icon "Series recording (show not included)"
Customer Support does not have a fix

The time on my T3 is set correctly
The problem has nothing to do with the T3
The only way I've been able to get the timers to work properly is to disable IceTV, then change all the timers manually

IceTv update has now changed all the timers to 4 hours early

I have had to disable and delete ICE TV timers which were all over the place - some were timers for programs I never set up and others were two hours early.  I have decided to use the T3 EPG to add timers as I have lost all faith in ICE TV after all the trouble over the last two weeks

The 3 accounts I've looked at with some timers 2 hours out are all from Perth.

Timers being out by increments of 30 minutes can happen if the TV station being displayed when the timers were set was not broadcasting the correct time for that timezone. I've seen this before but mostly with regional ABC, SBS and community channels after a daylight saving changeover or the 1st March in a leap year. But none of this has occurred this week and WA doesn't have daylight saving so there's no reason why a one WA channel would be broadcasting Sydney time.

We are looking at these 3 accounts at the moment.

Colin,

Your T3 is reporting it's region is to Darwin but your IceTV account is set to Perth.

IceTv update has now changed all the timers to 4 hours early
Terry,

Your T3 is also reporting it's region is to Darwin but your IceTV account is set to Perth.

I see a pattern here, which may be a clue for us to find out why T3s are pretending to be in Darwin.

Same here, also in Perth. All timers set two hours early along with random stuff I didn't set. Beyonwiz T3.

Hey Guys -

It looks like the T3's are setting incorrect regions which is causing the timers to be out and also possibly some phantom timers to be appearing, this would have started on the 28th - we're looking into this and should have it resolved by lunch time tomorrow.

Haha - I was going to say Sydney time, but then I realised that lunch time applies to everyone :)

Your first instinct was correct. If you have lunch at 12noon, that's 10am here. I'm hoping you have an early  lunch  ;D
